I’m hoping to leave ALMOST directly after work on Thursday to drive to Cleveland for the Artist Retreat.  I feel like I have so much to do before then, and I am so unprepared.  I haven’t picked up a respirator yet, I don’t know what doll I’m bringing… and I have no finished products to bring this year at all.  With the exams and everything else, it was just too busy.

I must accomplish the following tonight and tomorrow night:

• Pick up respirator and other items from supply lists
• Pack paints, sculpting tools, etc.
• Pack clothes
• Bake bread for breakfasts (tradition?)
• Mapquest to the hotel
• Mapquest BACK from the hotel
• Clean and vaccuum the living room
• Clean out the chinchilla cages
• Pick and pack a doll

I’m a little frustrated that I haven’t finished Therese’s Stargazer… between the weather and other frustrations (namely needing to take the extra strength Vicodin again last night), I just haven’t gotten it done.  What is wrong with me!?

In good news though, I did get my hair cut tonight tonight… so while I’m a little butch (sigh), I’m much less of a scrub and I can actually get back to styling it.

I didn’t realize it, but I had gotten two honorable mentions in past Derbies (on Luau and Autumn) and then I two coupons for free t-shirts in my email!  NEAT!  They also said I could submit designs for the daily shirts… I didn’t know where they got those designs.  Anyway I’ll be on the road for the Woot Derby this week… so I submitted a daily entry instead.

My daily submission is called “I heart you, world.”  They’ve been on a pessimistic/biting/sarcastic shirt bent lately, but I think that with all the unhappiness and financial turmoil people could really use a happy design.

Even if this is never a t-shirt (and it probably won’t be), I hope it gives you a little smile today! :)  As always, critique is welcome!

I just love these two… though their height difference is accurate for their characters, it is a little bit difficult for photography.  The two together are an odd pair.  Proof is younger and more passionate by nature, a bit bitter but nonetheless impetuous; by comparison, Vanilla is very steady and calm, gentle and less lusty.  Proof gets frustrated by the fact that he just can’t get to the older general… he’s used to men and women falling all over themselves for him.

I know I’ve waxed poetic about it before, but I am so happy to have an El again.  What a great mold.

I was just resizing my pics for Vita Ersatz this weekend (underwear ads!), and I never noticed before how pert Shai-lai’s butt is.  I’m not into tighty-whities on real guys, but he just looks so cute!

I’m also in the mood to do some drawing… specifically, I feel like drawing smut.  Would you like some smut drawn for you of your favorite (original) characters?  If you feel like paying $10, I’ll draw you a picture of 1-3 of your characters, doing whatever you’d like… any combination of genders, and any degree of naughtiness.  (Only restrictions are that I don’t do furries, kids, or non-consensual and you’re not allowed to repost the images).  Drop me a PM if you feel like it.  :)

Selling my SD10 Liz boy… I just need to do it.  If you’re looking for a beautiful Liz boy, maybe this could be the one?  I’d like to replace him with the new DIM Torudoll ARIN… ARIN is less expensive, too, so I could set the extra aside and just hold on to it for now… maybe buy Juliana or Harp someday.

Also selling my DIM Sergei.  I can’t do dolls that aren’t attached to the primary storyline…. especially minis.  Percival’s character will be coming back as a Customize Kit.

Really not into the Derby theme this week…. the theme is panic.  I feel like I spend enought ime trying NOT to panic that I don’t want to do a design centering on it.  Definitely a “boy” theme.

So I colored a bit.  I’ve been working on these intermittenedly over the last day or two.  I’m only using the 6 colors that my site is going to be build around – yellow, brass, white, black, red, and burgundy.

The pain meds are working and I am appropriately loopy.  Not quite to the point of typing nonsense yet, but I can feel the weirdness encroaching and will hie myself off to bed as soon as I post this.

CHIPMUNK!  It’s not as clear in this pic, but the other one I took was just kinda weird and I’m not blitzed enough yet to go “Yeah, let’s post an even MORE unattractive picture!”  The one side has gotten very swollen…  LOL.  It happens, I guess!  Anyway, I am off to nap again before I do something stupid.

The good news is that the oral surgery itself went really well.  The bad news is that my body’s usual resistance to medication means that I am in a lot of pain.  First, the effects of the sedative didn’t last long.  Most people need assistance walking, talking, etc., for a couple hours after they wake up.  I was completely lucid within about 10 minutes after waking up and was able to walk to the car by myself and carry on normal conversation.  (Roommate and my coworker who drove me were both sort of “…?” about that, actually.)  Seriously, if it weren’t illegal I would have been fine for driving myself home.  Then the novocaine wore off in about twenty minutes when it was supposed to last about 2 1/2 hours until I was able to remove the gauze and take the painkiller.  And finally, the painkiller didn’t work at all.  We’re talking Vicodin, which should really be not only be dulling the pain but knocking me out and making me sleep.

I tried to sleep for awhile, but woke up in pain about a half hour later…. the dentist’s office was closed by then, so I left them a message saying I needed something different.  I actually even called the pharmacy to make sure they gave me the right drug because it is seriously like I didn’t take ANYTHING.  They suggested I try doubling up and adding some Tylenol for tonight until the dentist can prescribe me something else.

Doubling up helped a bit… I was able to sleep at around 9:30.  But now I’m awake again and in pain… popped another pill and some ibuprophen (Michelle suggested trying it because it’s different)…. but it’s unfortunately not doing much of anything.

I hope they can prescribe me something tomorrow.  But hey, if I’m not taking anything in the morning it means I’m clear to go to the post office to pick up a package and get my own prescription. Wooo. :)

Lest anyone think that I neglected my resolve to work on webpage stuff over the weekend…. I did actually sit down and draw nine pictures for the doll profiles.  Some are mine, some are Mandy’s.  I like how Poet and Swill turned out best, I think.  I think I’m going to try to color these over the next few days since I can’t work on commissions.
