I can’t fathom why PongPong isn’t more popular.  We went in together to get one for a friend’s sister… and when it arrived, we took turned just opening and closing his little book-box.  It was like *open* :D *close* *open* :D! *close* *open* XD! *close*  And each time you open the box he seems to get happier.

Or more evil, as the case may be.

This entry showcases onnawufei’s evil little O’Malley DuFresne (named after characters from the web series Red vs Blue).  By her description, “he’s the product of a bored scientist who created an experimental AI and never really finished it. O’Malley exists primarily in the internet but leaves when he gets bored enough and wants to cause some trouble. He also likes to chew on things… and people.”

Pretty freakin’ cool.  And check out the little goggles!  Ms. onnawufei makes them!

I am rather new to Death Note, but I am very fond of the characters and have gotten rather interested int he storyline. (Despite that my roommate has basically summarized the entire manga).

I am also rather fond of YoSDs.

This is an awesome combination of really fantastic photography and excellent doll cosplay. These photoshoots are a collaboration between three friends - diio, Gabriel, and scube on DoA - and are probably some of the nicest fan-inspired photos I’ve seen. The props and setups are really detailed and well-laid out, and the attention to detail is wonderful. The picture above is a good example: great use of the YoSD sleepy fists to allow L to hold items in his unique way.

I’d love to see more photography with this sort of attention to detail. Thank you, diio, Gabriel, and scube! :)

Pipos Baha and Pipos Siamese Baha, owned by DoA’s pei.

Pei owns one of the few Siamese Bahas on DoA.  Her name is Rice, and she is the younger sister Lan, the white kitty.  Both are very close.  Lan is the less fussy of the two and is usually friendly and patient.

I actually found Lan first, through this adorable photoshoot.  These kitties are lucky to have such a talented owner!  Pei sewed this really cute little outfit!

And this will conclude the Week of Bahas!  One of the things I really enjoyed was seeimg how people treat this fascinating little doll - is it a cat, or is it more like a strange little person?  How human is the character?  It’s really cool to see how a simply-sculpted doll can be so different to so many people. At first glance, you’d think a cat face would be very limiting… but people don’t seem to be limited at all!

” …MEOW is his name. MEOW stands for Michael, Edward Oliver Walken; resident “cat burglar”. (My husband helped me pick it out). We aren’t sure exactly where he came from, but one day things in the house just started to disappear, and then I found him, hiding under one of my 19 month olds wash clothes, with various other things that he has stolen. (Actually right now, he’s out being tattooed to go along more with his character). He’s a world class thief, is in a thieves guild. He was trained to be a house-cat by day, and a cunning thief at night. He’s very quiet for the most part, and winds up in pictures in the distance, pocketing little trinkets. He uses many tools at his disposal; grappling hook, ladder, small dagger, pick pocketing set, all carried in his carpet bag.”

He’s an adorable creature, and very unassuming.  You’d never know that the sleek, friendly-looking little kitten is a master thief.  Charisma is part of his character, and he comes across as a true charmer.  (The to-scale bike is a great touch!)

I’m sort of alternating days between customized and default Bahas, so today we’re on to another cool customized Baha!

Zer0 is pretty badass, being both pierced and tattooed.  The tattoos were done by DoA’s sour_dotz - the one on his arm is a rather detailed koi-themed sleeve.  The little piercings in his ears are awesome because they are so small and accurately shaped; they seem to be in perfect scale.  The double-necked guitar is too awesome for comment.
I liked her summary of his character, so I’m going to post it directly:
“As for a little info on him: He’s a demon, so he gets treated more like a “human” than a kitty. ^^ In fact he’s around 23-25 years old. The fact that he’s very small and cat like is what drew me to making him a tough badass, the perfect conflict. Because under his rocker mask he’s very calm, poetic, and gentle. He uses his publicity as the demon world’s number one rocker to send anti drug and alcohol messages to fans. He’s everything I wish all rockstars were.”

Ready for take-off!

Bones is the first girl kitty I’ve seen on DoA, though she can act a bit more like a boy at times.  According to her owner, she doesn’t speak beyond a bit of meowing…

I loved these pictures because of the adorable outfitting - Another Space goggles!  On a Baha! I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m in love.

I love seeing how people make their kitties their own…. even when they just have the basic “Baha-up.”

Of all of the adorable Bahas on DoA, there is only one calico kitten with a button on his tummy. That Baha is Linus, owned and customized by DoA’s mendokusai.

Linus is the result of many hours of painting and careful customization that have made him look almost as though he’s actually covered in cloth in some areas. (The green torso plaid is especially impressive.) This thread shows his fabric patches very clearly - impressive!
He is a companion to Brodwyn, mendokusai’s Souldoll Katie. In short, he is a golem of sorts, made by Bordwyn’s father to look like a child’s plush. mendokusai has a written up a more detailed character profile, as well as a basic FAQ about him. That can be found here, on her blog.

Lately I really love Pipos Baha cats.  Their big wide mouths make me happy, as do their little kitty paws.  They also always seem to be doing something freaking cute.  If you don’t like Bahas, you may want to skip doll-a-day this week - Cuz this is the Week of the Baha!

Zee is an adorable little kitten, a tribute to starchanchan’s kitten Zeppelin, who passed away a few years ago.  She treats him as a kitten, not as a human type of character… he is a brat and thinks he’s the king of everything he sees.  He has a short attention span.
